Just ride around the poorer side of town, and ask a couple of old timers. Offer them 3-5 bucks a bird and see what they say.

I use to hunt around Belzoni. We would just drive into that high density, low income, area just to the west of 49. We would find someone sitting on the porch and ask them for help. Someone always vollunteered to clean them. Prolly aught not unload your gun till you leave the neighborhood. Some of those mofo be selling dope so find an old one.

I'm from the area and was about to say the same thing about not unloading until you are out of the 'hood'. It has changed in the last decade. I'm from up the road (north) and we have a gang and crack problem (town of 700) that basically migrated from "the Zoni". Watch your back, your front, your side, ..... if you choose to venture into the lower income area, and for goodness sake - make sure it is light out - you may never be heard from again - lost in "the Zoni".

I think we are going to dove hunt over some of your land this weekend and then flood it.

Has anyone on this site checked season dates lately?

You are correct, I have my days/weeks all messed up. All I have in my mind is the weekend of the 30th as I go on vacation that weekend. That is the weekend that we will be dove hunting.

Heck naw I aint gonna type in Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks, I just pay other folks to type it for me.

Other than the Varisty and a pizza place, which is within walking distance of the camp house, I have not found any other places to eat. The McDonald's does not count.

Is the Mexican place worth searching for?
