I don't want to know where your honey-holes are, guys........but, I haven't had a chance to do any scouting this year.......and I don't know how to find a duck. So, any help would be appreciated.

Are there any hunting clubs I can join......or leases available for this year? I don't have much money, but would be wiling to put gas in your boat if you'd take a fella hunting. I also have a GPS I can record all the places you take me.....and I promise not to share the coordinates with my hunting buddies that know 'squat', either.

Thanks in advance.

I never had to deal with as much skybusting as I did this morning...and I know it is because all of you new comers on here talking about the #s of ducks roosting and being taken off of the lake.

You can bet that I will be in Carlo Martella's office tuesday morning and at the next city council meeting encouraging them to set some restrictions on our lake.

If I ever have to deal with the mess that I did this morning again...I promise that it will be a seen like we used to have at the Crossgates Village Shopping Center when I was in high school. In other words, there will be some asses getting kicked.

Wanna meet me at the 'dips' and settle this!!!

No chain or lock needed. After we hunt I'll just slip you in a 100 pound bean sack fold ya over once and tie a good chunck of rock to you and use you for the catfish honey hole fishing guide service I have in the spring. I'll also contact Anne to let her know where to send My portion of Your insurance check.

Anything I can do to help further the education of a fellow MSDUCKER

Ya'll don't know squat about where the best public holes are. I'm here to tell you Ballard Lake in Tupelo is the place to be. Managed by the MDWFP and everything. Geese set down there every morning. Anybody that gets over by the gazebo is in for an booty whoopin' as that is my spot.

Ah, yes, "The Village"!! Back in its heyday 18-20 years ago , I remember much drinking and fighting taking place on that piece of stretch of asphalt between the BK Lounge and what was once the arcade. Saw a few topwaters get their booty kicked and cars smashed for moving in on our turf. I remember many car races on 80 between mullet haired teens arguing over whose camaro, mustang or firebird was faster. I remember gunshots ringing out across the parking lot one time....drunks wandering out onto highway 80. I recall officers Cumberland, Smith, "Cowboy", and others running us out of there on numerous occasions. Then it was out to the sand pits, marquette, or Le Bourgeois.

But some of the best times were at 4:30am when we would meet at the village to plan our early morning assault on the ducks of Crossgates Lake and shortly after daylight when we would meet back there to share our successes and laugh about the mishaps of the morning hunt!

No, it's where all the kids in Brandon used to meet to get their fists bloody in elementary and junior high.
It's a wooded area in the center of Crossgates.
