Yes, indeed... the tale of the Ski King. I was thinking the same thing, Biggy. There need's to be an annual live reenactment of this historical event with Quackers as emcee and narrator.

Pondbuster I was at flag on Sat. afternoon for a couple of hours until the wife said I had gotten to drunk and needed to get registered to look at some of that muff running around

but I could'nt help it damn it boy!!!

Sun. we did a drive by at flag and ended up at Eddie's island right down from flag. Scenary was'nt too bad there either. I was informed lastnight that we are going to Reunion lake this sat. to the Sister-in-laws house and gonna ride around the lake there.

I was pissed until she told me I could take the little boat (duck nawteek) out there and fish.

So that's what I'll be doing sat. I'll be up there with bells on sun. though.

Well we need to get together one weekend and do some riding. I've never been down to the Pearl, but we have a house on Sardis that we usually hit. Is there somewhere to camp down there?

I wish I had a dollar for everybody that has told the Ski King story and said they witnessed it. I would be rich.

definitely seems like the place a single man ought to be. No wonder my buddy says he goes every weekend.
Hey matador, what skiing story are you talking about?

There are hundreds of variations but the basic jest of it is some guys were skiing and saw a black dude on skis in shallow water waiting for his buddy to tow him. Driver yells "are you ready to make it happin captain". Black dude replys "hit it ski king" and gets the crap jerked out of him.
I've heard people say they saw it happen from the coast to the reservoir and everywhere in between. Have heard the date it happens as long ago as 1991 and as recent as 2005! Go figure, everybody loves a good story. Bout like the old " man, my cousin knows this old boy that was skiing and thought he fell in an old barb-wire fence. He got up and was covered in moccasins!" Let's be realistic, don't you think that would have made the news?!

do the local game wardens and deputies not give ya'll a hard time for alcohol down there? Enid Lake has gotten real strict. It has killed the local stores b/c people go elsewhere to boat. I know of a lot of people who go to Desoto Lake where it is more lenient.

No kidding crowder critter the warden at enid lake needs to retire or cheer up or somthing. There is no reason for him to be the way he is the rangers are not like that and the other wardens i have ran up on all over the state are not like him. I think the problem is half or most of the lake being in Yalobusha county the lake would be a whole lot better place if it was in Panola.
Trip how is Sardis is there a beach or place where people gather up and enjoy the day or so they get off from work?
