I am formally from Mississippi, but now I live in KY. I am going to be running 1 Finished Dog and 1 Seasoned Dog, and maybe a few Started Dogs.

Trey,
I will be in a Red and Tan X-Cab F-150 with a six hole MountainTop Topper, I do not know if I will have any clinets with me or not. Just wondering are people planning on staying in Ripley, I am not sure where I am going to stay yet. It will be at either my In Laws in Collierville, Friends in Holly Springs, Have thought of Actually camping out at my grandfathers farm in Ashland, I have not been there in probably five or six years. I need to start going back home more often, it is some very nice water there, It is just hard to get away with a kennel full of dogs, and it is just so much trouble to load them up just to come home for a weekend of training. I really do miss North MS, maybe one day I will relocate back to Marshall or Benton County.

Gots me a date for old hatchie. my wife is going with me, and we're gonna sit in the gallery like normal folks, and only run 2 dogs in one stake. Normally only one hunt test a year I get to do that, and never with my wife. Shes been to most every southern flight test, but I always got to work. I don't know if I ever have set down with her more than 20 minutes and just watched dogs. rob called me to judge, and I always go when he asks, especially when he said I could apprentice duckdawgen (joshy), but I had to say no to keep my date. ya'll come to finished and look for the sexiest dog truck on the grounds... that'll be me. travis

This may be a dumb question, but for started do I need to bring a pump gun? I've got one, but I don't have any poppers. I also assume that I need to wear camo. Anything else I need to know or bring?
Talked to the Old Hatchie HT Sec Cris C? on the phone the other day, and she told me to watch 10 or 12 dogs run before me so I'd know what to expect. I think my boy could run seasoned (remember I've never seen ANY hunt test), but I want to start from the beginning and ease him (and me) into it.
The other thing is I just got back from mailing in my UKC registration on my boy, and I also sent my HRC membership paperwork off today. I understand that if we pass, we get a reciept that I have to keep in order to get the points applied to my dog. He is AKC registered, and the UKC/HRC paperwork is literally in the mail. Is there anything besides getting the reciepts for passing the tests that I need to do?
Sorry for all the questions, just want to try to do it right. I dropped him off with Justin Etter for a couple three months last year to get him in shape for the season. The more I learn and read/watch on dog training the more fired up I'm getting about training and running tests. My old job had me working every weekend and running tests was out of the question. Now I have the time and desire to really get into this. I'm rambling so I shutup for a while. Look forward to meeting a bunch of you guys.
Hey Gulfcoast, I'll be shure to say hey if your gonna be there. Here's a pic of my little knucklehead 'Buck' and me last season. See yall in Ripley!

I will be there. Hope we don't stink up the place, but you gotta start someplace!
I have my HRC number, but not the paperwork. I sent in my UKC registration last week, asked for a "rush" so I should get it back this week or early next week, I hope.
Now I gotta thaw some ducks out!

I sent my stuff in yesterday for started.
Will I get a confirmation or anything letting me know that I have a spot or do I just assume that I am in?

email cris crippen, hunt test sec, or call her. her # should be on the premium. she may be out of pocket though. her dog Cotton is deathly ill and waiting on biopsy(sp) but she will get back to you.
