Saturday Morning
2 Hunters
4 Ducks
(3 Mallards and 1 Grey)

Sunday Morning
3 Hunters
9 Ducks
(4 Mallards, 2 Greys, 2 Teal, 1 Ringneck)

Saw a lot more birds than I expected, but most of the ducks we saw were hitting the timber to our north. Ducks responded very well to the call and good shooting was displayed by all on both mornings. We just put in a new blind and man did it work! We had feet in our face on every shot. I am looking forward to next weekend, especially if the weather does what the WC says it will do. Hope everyone had an enjoyable opening weekend.

We had the "two syndrome"

2 Hunters
2 good shots
2 dead mallard drakes
2 excellent retrieves by Halle

If we had been two hundred more yards south we would have eat em up in an hour. Couldn't cross the canal because we would have had to drag the boat over a levee. We said screw it! Its opening day and we are duck hunting and watching ducks. It was funny watching one group sky-busting and just wasting ammo.

HUNTED SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS
SAT MORNING GREAT HUNT
6 HUNTERS
20 MALLARDS, 6 GADWALLS, 2 TEAL

SUN MORNING NOT SO GREAT :?
6 SPECKS GEESE, 2 GADWALLS, 8 SNIPE

I THINK THERE WERE ALOT OF DUCKS HERE THAT ALREADY HAVE BEEN SHOT AT. THEY WOULD TAKE A LOOK AND MAKE ONE PASS AND THEN LEAVE. HOPEFULLY WITH THIS WEATHER COMING AND THE SEASONS NORTH OF US CLOSING WE WILL GET SOME DUCKS THAT WILL WORK AND NOT SO JUMPY. VMAN
