also... a guide on Eagle Lake.??? Wtf?
you've got to be kidding.
I've never heard of any guide service on that lake. Esp since its not that hard to ride out there and see there are no ducks.

I know Tim. He has a nice place on Eagle Lake. His cabins are very nice as several of buddies stay there when we have crappie tournaments in the area. Tim hunts other spots other the the lake. I have never hunted with him but I have talked to him about duck hunting. He volunteered his camp for our club's crappie restoration project on Eagle Lake. We were there building structure just before the season last year and he was out working on his spots. He seemed to put all he had into it. There are no guaranties in hunting as you know!

There are a great number of good guides north of Vicksburg. Use one of those so you won't be dissapointed. I live 15 miles from the lake and I don't hunt it if that tells you anything.

It's Carpenter not Cartwright. He knows what he's doing but you need to go to his leased land. He'll treat you right and work hard for you.

that makes sense...
its Carpenter... yea i know him.
You should kill some ducks if you go on the lease land. I just wouldn't pay to hunt eagle lake itself.

I hope you have a long drive from Eagle lake because ain't no ducks within 30-40 miles of it. I've hunted across the road from Eagle last couple of years and it's been slow. This year even slower so far. All my buddies hunt close to this area and are killin 3 or 4 ducks between 3 hunters every hunt, not one man limit yet. I don't know him and he might be a good guide, but I would spend my money on something in NE LA or more northern delta from Hollandale north.

My point exactly!!! Go North for better numbers of ducks.
