Time to eat some ducks at camp, homie!

Hold off on your answers/ explanations until this thing runs for a few days.

I was told by a warden the other day that my camp did not count as my residence, therefore I could only posses the daily limit at my home and not at the camp. Elaborate please......

Yep.

Possession limit is 2x daily limit, no matter where you are, except in the field. In the field, all you can have on you is the daily bag limit.

If you hunt are on a 3 day hunt and limit out first two days, you have to gift or eat some of the birds before you kill any more.

So the answer to the poll is (b). You can only have the daily bag limit in your possession while in the field.

I SOOO DO NOT agree with that law!! If you are gone a 3 day trip or longer and limit out all days, you should not have to give meat away or eat it just so you'll be legal to go home!! What if you want to take it to have Sausage or Jerky made out of it and you are trying to keep the meat to have enough to take in????? BULLCHIT LAW!! :?

If you are on a trip, and really want to keep the birds that bad, then you can put them on dry ice and send them back home. I think that is legal. Wingman, am I correct?

So does that mean you can only have 2x the daily bag limit in your home freezer? Thats always been a strange law to me. I know in some of the big Pheasent states they are allowing 4x the daily bag limit. It allows oos hunters more birds to legally take home. I assume that if you go out of state on a 3 or 4 day hunt and have great success if you can not give them away alot of people would throw them out and waste the birds so they can keep shooting. But on the other hand it would normally take a 5 day hunt for me to kill a legal possesion limit.

2X the limit also means that if you have 11 at home in the freezer then you can't kill but one duck on your next trip.

I don't think your freezer at home counts.

Well, what I want to know is, just WHO IN THE HELL, is going to come in my house and check my freezer!!!!????? That's the DUMMEST law I've ever heard of!!

I'm all for reducing the limit to 3 ducks! BUT, this dam possession limit bullchit has got to go!! Daily limit is all we need. What is the purpose of a possession limit anyhow??? If that is the way it is going to be, the law should read, "you can kill 12 ducks, but you can kill no more unless you give those 12 away or eat them" REDICULOUS!!

What you do is gift them to your wife and kids when you get home. So each family member can possess 12 ducks.
