My standard lump gear:
1. 2 penn International 50wides loaded with 80 lb. spider wire with 250 yds of 60 lb mon as top shot.
2. Cutting kinfe
3. Tackle (can go in depth if you like)
4. Towels
5. Alaskan fishing gloves (Insulated rubber gloves that come to your elbows)
6. leather batting gloves (for fighting fish if needed most of the time they aren't, but if you get into a pile of big fish you'll get blisters quick)
7. Camera
8. Sunscreen
9. Costas
10. Rubber fishing Bibs and slicker
11. Insulated white rubber boots. DON'T wear your cutoffs, you'll get water over them and day over.
12. Extra Wool socks
13. Whatever you would wear hunting under the rubber bibs and slicker.
I guess the basic thing is I wouldn't go out and spend 100's of dollars to go out to the lump on clothing you may use at most once a year. You probably have insulated waterproof stuff at home already. It is also possible to hit a day where it's cool at the dock and you get out to the lump and into the gulfstream and you peel everything off that you can to be comfortable.
