Yea i know where this hole is in Calhoun. I hunted it the year before the former owner sold it. Great spot for ducks. The field borders the river. Key is to find their resting place............OOOWEE i've got a secret.

The best season before was about 3 years ago at 1100.

I'm glad somebody is killing something in this county! It has been hard hunting in Calhoun/Yalabusha/Grenada counties for us this year. The benwood refuge just has not had the ducks that it had last year. There has been very little water on the refuge and no water in the "backwaters" of the lake. Maybe next year will be better. If not I'm going to find something to hunt in the delta or go back to deer hunting more.

gads?

Delta Duck, don't tell me that you are going to say Lake Jackson!!! That is the only place around the greenville area that consitently kills gads. The landowners closed off hunting to the public so they can shoot all of the gads they want! lol... I guess shooting that many gads is better than not shooting at all!!!

I talking about one blind on Beaverdam. You can hunt 150 yards away and not fire a shot. He went over 1300 yesterday morning!

Fighting Bayou is without a doubt the best duck in Mississippi and has been for years. In fact the year after the Claypool picture was made Field and Stream published an article about Fighting Bayou. In the article the author writes that every duck hunter in America now knows about Claypool reservoir thanks to CBS's broadcast, but Claypool's hole pales in comparison to O. B. Lindsey's honey hole just outside of Doddsville MS called Fighting Bayou.

I have to agree that fighting bayou is the best duck hunting in Mississippi. I have an uncle who guided for years at fighting bayou, I have heard and seen pictures for years of great hunts at fighting bayou.

It seems the best holes belong to my uncle. Mr Posted owns a lot of land in the MS Delta. All the best holes seem to have his sign on them

You beat me to it Delta Duck. I was going to say that 232 kinda put a damper on the 2000+ total that have been killed next door to me in Beaver Dam this year by the several groups that hunt it. Shoot makes the 600+ we have took out of the lake south of there pale in comparison 8)

I was waiting for someone to jump on the fact that the best hole in MS had only killed 232 birds. However, I do not agree with the idiot statement, as MSDrake was only expressing his opinion. Glad to know that some of you are killing more than 232 though. My cousin and his bunch are pusing 700 on a private hole that is not used to guide in TN. Some folks are killing the birds just not me!

I agree with rampole Fighting Bayou is holding thousands of ducks The number of ducks that they have is crazy. I hunt within a mile of the club and I can hear them banging every morning.
