Oil is currently at 101.25/barrell. What I can't figure out is why it is 3.99/gallon and then a mile away it is 3.55/gallon. When oil peaked at $147/barrell I never paid $5/gallon. This "speculation" driving up my gas cost is total BS!!! I never remember, until the past 5 years, gas costs jumping up so drastically when hurricanes threatened the gulf. Makes me want to beat the @$$ of whomever is responsible for this BS!!

Got a daughter inlaw that is a regional man. for a convient store chain. She was told to raise it $.50 today and $.50 tomorrow. Sumthin from gal at a terminal here in Collins about "winter" gas comes available 9/15 that has already been factored in so shouldn't be shortages. Might have to close terminal/ration for the next 3 or so days cuz of the storm panic for what "summer" gas is left. Not a lotta sense in all this for sure...

Just checked gas prices around Memphis, and we are still under $4.00 but just barely.

I agree the gouging! I thought it was illegal to price gouge?

most of those texts just add to the hysteria. i have had people calling saying it is $5.00 this and that and that we were all out of gas and that they were rationing gas. I just so happened to be on empty. I filled her up, went in got a cup of coffee, shot the bull to some of the guys hanging around in there, and went about my business. talked to the manager and he said i should not worry about it. this coming from the gas staion i have been filling up at since i could drive.

-deltadukman-
who has enough whisky, deer meat, and shotgun shells to last through about anything... but the aliens who look like jessica simpson and are buying up all the beef jerkey(they're running out so you better hurry up)...yall will be getting that text soon

I'm off to throw some ribs on the grill and laugh at all the panic'ers
