I've quit a bunch of times and one day I'll quit again.

i have quit twice for about a year each time, and why i started back was for no reason each time . my mouth started to hurt pretty bad last week and i kinda got that worrisome feeling about it and decided it was time to quit again. i actually finished my can last night and have not had one today when i have usually had four by now. good luck to you man it is very possible to quit and the only way is cold turkey.


i call bs on chopper quiting! for the eight or so years i have known him he has been quitting and needs to bum a rally dip to get him by. the best salesman i know! got me for thousands over the years.

Kinda crazy, I only dip when I drink! I dont dip on the stand anymore at all. Used to be if I forgot my snuff I would quit hunting til I got some. Good luck man. Hope you succeed!

I have forgot I even made this thread, but I have sat back and read every post. I think it makes things a little easier on me to hear from other guys tat have been addicted to this drug like myself and overcome it, I must say that I have failed myself once again, I am now at 2 dips a day. Sorry folks but that is still better than 3/4 a can a day. I will have to agree with the guys here that said cold turkey is the way, sunflower seeds will still rot a damn hole in yer mouth due to all the salt. Have faith in me guys, I am trying, and that is more than I have been doing for years, there aren't too many other folks in my life counting on me anymore. Thanks for everyone's advice and help.......

try some of those el-cheapo walmart nicotene patches. I don't know about dipping, but they work for smoking. You know how it is though, you've got to make up your mind you're through with it.
