I think he should be forgiven just once. and let him know this is the only time this kind of behavior would be accepted.

Those are all good ideas. Man, I would hate to be that guy. He sure is lucky to be in a special group like y'all's. Some times things come up that a guy just can't turn down. So I think y'all should make him feel more welcome than ever. Like springing for the bottle and the steak diner. I am sure he would appreciate it as much as he does the original group taking him in like y'all have. I know y'all have tought him more than he will ever be able to thank y'all for. It really means alot to a guy to be brought into a group like yours. Words will never be able to express the gratitude. Go easy on him, but make sure what ever you do, in 10 years y'all will all look back and get a good ole laugh. I would be willing to bet that last duck weekend would not ever be missed by him!!!!

Sounds like you got a good deal going there. Enjoy you peepee hunting!
I bet they will let you slide this one time. Sounds like some great traditions though, I know I am grateful to be allowed in on traditions myself.
