Yes, I would like to know what makes you think we are one step closer to the day when they will outlawing hunting altogether. I don't really think we're in any danger of having hunting outlawed any time soon.

I'm not saying that we are going to see hunting outlawed tomorrow. I'm just tired of more regulations- like this telechek idea. In my opinion i think it's unwarranted and one more thing to frustrate sportsmen.
Many times on this forum i've heard guys say that when the season and bag limit for waterfowling are cut it will thin out the # of hunters (for probably several reasons)
So my reasoning in earlier comments is- keep adding another something to get checked for by the green trucks and many people will throw in the towel. Less hunters means less power to lobby etc to keep our right to hunt...

I dont' see it like that at all. How many people really get checked by the green trucks? I get checked maybe once a year, that's bc I hunt a national refuge a good bit. Other than that, I never ever get checked by the green or blue trucks ( fed truck on the refuge.)
Why would you throw the towel in bc you have to abide by a new law

We hunt north of Vicksburg on some lease land, and I couldn't tell you the last time I was checked by Mr. Greenjeans. He hasn't been by any of the other clubs in the area either. MC's right, even hunting WMA's, NF, or wherever having so much area to cover and being understaffed keeps alot of folks unchecked. Noone's gonna throw in the towel w/ #'s like that.
