Dukhunter,
make sure you know that the autoloader you are considering is a different ammo than the 357 revolver you already own! .357 sig which is made for autoloader handguns is a shorter case than the .357 mag.

Go to a range and rent a Glock, a Springfield XD, and a Smith and Wesson M&P, buy the one that fits your hand and shooting style the best.
Thats what I did and decided on the XD, I love it. The one gun I would never sale.
I would also echo the advice on picking a caliber that is more commercial. If you ever decide to reload or stock up on ammo it is normally easier and cheaper.

What are you getting it for? That is really the question that you need to ask yourself, if for concealed carry, that is a whole new ballgame compared to just keeping one in the house or truck.
have carried both and i perfer my sig.

Glock's website could be confusing in that they don't specify the G32 is a 357
Sig which it is, they just don't want to advertise for the competition. But a 357 revolver and an auto 357 (save the desert eagle offerings) are two totally different rounds.
Last time I bought a box of 50 rounds in .357 sig it was in the neighborhood of 50 bucks. compare that to about 15 for 9mm or 20 bucks for .45

That's correct about the .357 vs the 357 sig. Two totaly different rounds. I carry a S&W M&P though in the .357 sig caliber. 16 rounds in the mag. with one up the pipe is a lot of firepower though! It's just not a plinking gun. Ammo way to expensive!

thanks guys for the heads up on the difference in rounds I was under the impression that they were the same, (glad I tapped this WEALTH OF KNOWLEDGE now) that will put me back to looking for something else I still like the gap, and I actually got to hold a baby eagle .40 last night and it was a good feel, a little heavy but it felt good in my hand........

Listen to this man. These are all quality guns that should go bang every time. Pick the one you shoot well. I have nothing against Glock but coming from 1911's I can't hit jack with one. XD on the other hand... My XD .40 has been flawless. If you think the Glock in .45ACP is too large pick up an XD .45. Same size as the .40 and holds more ammo.

Go 45 or 40. Easier to find and cheaper and "range" in a handgun fight is not a factor 99.99% of the time. If it will shoot ten feet, you have the range covered

I love my Glock 19 in a Minotaur concealed holster. Got it loaded with Ranger SXT which is that same bullet as the old Black Talon.

I've owned two glocks and Hated them both. I've had the Model 23 in a 40 S&W and the Model 17 In a 9MM. My Personal opinion is to choose the SpringField. It's a great gun. And go ahead and get the 45. You'll love it

Glock 17 9mm with crimson trace grip. I choose it because of ammo availability and how much ammo it holds. I miss alot but with 17 rounds I will hit something.

+ 1 for the XD in .40, thats what I have and think it feels the niche nicely between the .9 and .45. More stopping power than a
.9mm, and for balistics faster than a .45
Good all around caliber.
