Mallets, woodies and the ever elusive grey duck, only one I have ever seen killed.

I have seen a banded Black duck. 10 yr kid killed it. I know when they band ducks they band everything that they catch in the net. There was a band off of a coot for sale on E-Bay someone had posted the link onhere.

19 birds w/ 20 leg bands + 1 neck collar. 9 mallards, 1 black, 2 woodies (killed 9 days apart in the same hole banded in 2 different locations), 1 pintail, 3 canadas (1 double banded w collar), 1 blue goose, and 2 doves. Probably seen 30-32 bands including mine killed over the years.
Never seen a grey duck with a band, but know a farmer in AR that picked one up a couple years ago. Also this year, one group in AR killed 4 bands this year including a banded hen spoonie. Dont know why, but I really want a banded blue wing. Prolly cause they cover a lot of ground in the fall migration. That and of coarse a miner & reward band!

I've killed a banded dove and woodie. Had a banded bluebill killed out of my boat two years ago.

Penguin is kinda tough, and it's hard to keep their feet from sticking out the top of the pot

2 banded bwt,1 banded gwt,1 mottled duck 2 woodducks and 11 mallard ducks most where killed in the late 80's and early 90's with two mallard bands killed in 2003 and 2005 I've seen double banded mallards ,pinatils ,ringnecks and geese bands killed in front of me all bands where shot in south central ,la with all the gadwall we kill not a band yet one day

What are these band thingies everyone speaks of? I thought they were urban myths started by the government to keep white guys in waders.

My son killed a hooded merganser in North Miss on a farm lake. Banded in North Dakota on indian reservation
