I started playing in high school, about 25 years ago. Used to play quite a bit until about 5 years ago when an accident at work cost me half of my ring finger on my left hand. I do miss playing. Every now and then the urge hits me strong and I pick it up and tinker around with it but thats about all i can do now.

Don't really have any aspirations of entertaining any one.
I heard someone the other day who called it "mathematically precise noise"

I pick a little.....very little the last 10 years...but more often now as the kids get a kick out of daddy playin'.... I'm down to a Couple of Gibson's now (Les Paul and a Les Paul Jr. that is kind of unique, it has a Steinberger trem on it) and a Seagull 12 string....the Seagull gets the lions share of the use cause I sold my amps years ago.....
I play the banjo too...along with the mandolin...does that count as different?

I've been playing for about 3 years. I have a Gibson Les Paul and a Ibanez acoustic/electric. I prefer the electric (loud!) because the noise I make definitely sounds better at higher volumes.
It's been quite an addictive hobby. I just wish I had more time to play.
