Hey, does anyone know where I can get a copy of one of those neat little game law books that the GW's ride around with in their vehicles. I'm getting the feeling that I need to keep one of these on my person at all times so I can defend myself.
Ugh.....

There is no defense w/ Mr. Green Jeans. The hunter, uh, "suspect", is always wrong about something. Because he's such a good guy, he "let's you off"...

My plastic card they sent me in the mail was screwed up, too. I have the WF but not the MB on it.
Feds can't write you a ticket for not having a state stamp.
I have met a couple of Fed wardens who were going to write me a ticket for not having signed across the face of my state stamp.......The friendly state warden then handed me his pen and said, "Sign it now, son." The Fed warden then had a snit fit. I wrote a letter commending the State Warden to the DWF&P. Wish we had more wardens like that!
Question for SB or others.

Lemme' get this straight. I got my sportsmans license in the mail as usual. I bought the fed stamp and stuck it on back as usual. The license has SW MB and WF on it for Saltwater, Migratory Birds, and Waterfowl. I don't have a printed reciept because I sent in the paper they send each year with my chek and they sent the license. Do I need anything else? I need a ticket like I need a hole in my head! CBrown does need a ticket!

The "WF" means that you are good to go.

You just think you're good to go with SW,MB,WF. You gott have 4W now. That's 4 wheeler permit/license electronically fussed to your hunting license and tattoed to your forehead and annual sticker for the soon to be license tag! When will it end?

Why was all this created? Just so nonresidents could buy licenses over the net? MDWFP is lost in cyber-space.

I think I'd just rather stick to having to tote a pair of actual stamps around and my lifetime license. Would make things SOOO much easier.

Dave, man why you got to start bustin on me.
Hey you need to make sure your stuff is right because there are reports of teal on the ice hole and at Sam Massey's place. If you got MB and WF you are good to go. Now what about that little run in during bow season 2 years ago.

Got a call from the MDWF today. The sweet voice on the other end was a Mrs. Harris from the license dept. I had emailed the dept a few days back giving my complaint to them about my license having "NOT VALID WITHOUT STAMP" printed on it and seh told me that what I have is a collectors receit and not a electronic stamp. That the person that took my order either keyed in the wrong thing or mis-understood that I was a hunter. Even though I did the Hip register at the same time. (go figure)
Bottomline is that this nice lady took the time to respond to my email and is sending me the proper electronic stamp receit with the Hip registration on it.
If your receit has "NOT VALID WITHOUT STAMP" on it you too have a collectors receit and will not be valid as a proof of purchase.
She also told me that the Feds are working to become electronic next year. (ahhh Isn't technology wonderful) You'll have to purchase the Federal Stamp VIA Post Office or Web based.
Don't shoot the messenger...
She said if any of you are still having trouble with your registration on the sportsman license such as WF MB or the like to call her and she will make it right. 601-432-2081

Well, I received my sportsman license card, and it does not show that I purchased a state waterfowl stamp. The long white receipt that I first received from the MDWF&P did show this correctly. I made my purchase on the internet. How is it that the paper license is correct, but the card (ostensibly based upon the info on the paper receipt) is not?
Also, I wrote the MDWF&P to request the actual state stamp and enclosed a self-addressed stamped envelope as directed. While out of town, I received a voice mail from a lady with the MDWF&P stating that they received my request, but had no record of my state stamp purchase (of course, I have the long paper license showing this proof of purchase). I have now tried to call her back FOUR times on separate days, having to leave a message each time. She has not returned my calls. Apparently, they are NOT going to send to me the stamp.
What is going on at the MDWF&P? I normally don't complain about small snafus, since I realize these folks have tough jobs and lots of licenses to process, and that errors will occur. But, how freakin hard can it be to take someone's money for a license and correctly record the transaction? Why can't I just get my freaking actual stamp when I purchase it? This does not need or have to be that difficult. Some folks in the MDWF&P need to get their heads out of their ass and staighten this mess out quick. Running out of patience.
Perhaps, this needs to be a campaign issue in the election for governor. Forget tort reform, just "Clean out the BS at the MDWF&P." Geeeezzzz.

Ms Harris told me that when people started buying the stamp online that the people that transfered the data didn't included those that bought stamps. She said it was a mess. Call her at the above number Ole Bufflehead she is very nice and helpful. She will resolve the problem.
