Checkered. It is four raised panels but the panels are checkered. I did not know how many people would actually know anything about a beckhart call

My dad gave it to me as a christmas present last year. I just thought it was a old cool call being passed down the line. Did a little research and little did I know it is a pricey call. Had no clue how old it was either

From everything I have read he made several calls a week in his prime. They sold for 3 dollars a piece back then. If he made 450 calls a year the most he would have made would have been around 9000 calls. There are probably less than 4-5000 left. I would figure a lot less considering he died in 1922. So most all of the calls are around 100 years old. From reading about his call I gather that the one I have is one of the early calls. Last call I heard about on auction went for around 9500. There was a guy in arkansas that found one at a yard sale for 1.50 a couple years ago. That is like hitting the lottery

B4 Katrina, I had a collection that was pretty nice, with some old Hambones, Taylor Mades, keyhole olts, a Grubbs made locally......now, I just got whats on my lanyard, a couple original old style Echo Timber spares, and my "scrap pile" of cheapies I have monked up by messing with them.
