Ate at the Ron-dez-vous 2 weeks ago, and was dissapointed. Hope we caught them at a bad night or something. I will have to try that place on Beale Street next time we are there.
Mesquite Chop House is pretty darn good. I have not been to the others, other than Butcher's Block (just OK).

if i wanted dry ribs i'd go to rendevous, wet ribs i kind of liked central bbq, and steak i liked stella's but i think lipsplitter told me awhile back that they closed. anyway it looks like all the bases were covered on the steak houses, good luck with the choice

Rendezvous is tourist trap bbq. The best bbq in town is Gtown Commissary.

Hands down.... Como Steak House.
Some really good places mentioned, but nothing like this place.

also used to really like Timbeauxs on the Square in Hernando but heard it is no more
when I lived there, Outback had a line out the door and Timbeaux's always had a spot...never understood it

Love the Como Steak House! We wear it out during duck season. I just never thought of it as Memphis. More like "north batesville."

Well By gosh now yall are talking. Thats so not memphis though... Every year on January 9th that place is over run with msduckers....

I've eaten Rendevous a few times.. We will eat places like that for lunch. I was looking more along the lines of place like folks folly, flemings, nice steakhouse/ seafood place to sit down and have nice dinner and a few beverages.
