No doubt bro, no doubt. And you've never heard me say, or condon all the its like dis or nothing... only time I ever get involved is when asked, or someone say something to the fact. Face it, the average person hunts hunt a dozen times and year, and a dog that will sit quietly and pick up the birds from the decoys is a better dog than they have now... Are my methods ness for that person? Nope. And their are more of them than like me. Thats fine, I understand that and defend that. By the same token, when someone tells me they'd never force a dog or shock a dog, I call bs, cause they have never seen it done correctly, and the results it can achieve. Maybe I just like proving people who shoot their mouth off wrong, either way. hehe.
Dunno what you scored your hips with, maybe penn-hip? But ofa doesn't score hips indviually in any way Ive ever seen. Perhaps your description threw the guy off, I dunno. But if you look the percentages of good dogs and excellent dogs, and more importantly the percentages of off spring thrown that are dyslpic from an excellent X excellent pairing vrs a good X excellent or a good X good parents theres not much difference. The percentages get very wide when you go to fair or poor. Nothing is a guarentee, but when you are talking lab hips, not playing the percentages is fool hardy. For all intent and purposes, good is the same as excellent, yet fair and poor are worlds apart. travis
i guess i'm old school......
