You'll buy a Tundra next time ...
Seriously, Good luck!
I am still upset with Saban for becoming a spokesman for Ford.
Just hope that Bama plays better against MissSt than the fords run!!

Just experienced the same thing on my 07 F150 King Ranch today. Went to lock it in and nothing. heard a grinding noise in what i thought was the rear end last week and just figured it was time for some new breaks. Took it to a mechanic and had 50% of my pads left and rotors were fine, so now I've gotta take it to the ford dealership next week and fortunately I still have some warranty left on it.

Tundra is 100% made in America, not the Ford!
The Big v-8 for the Tundra is made in Huntsville AL. Most of the Tundras are assembled in TX.
All the electronics for the Tundra (radio, nav system, laser auto-light dim ...) are made in America, not the Ford.
And Toyota stock is traded on the New York stock exchange....
BUY AMERICAN

I would not use Starkville Ford...to work on your truck, they did some work on mine when I was there and to say I was unpleased is an understatement. My truck was not under warranty..but had some major issues so took it to them.
One of my best friends had some warranty work done by them, a couple of weeks later he had to carry it back to the dealer he purchased from to get the work refixed, the mechanic even said something about the rationale behind the "fixin" that was done.
From reading various posts and talking to different owners, I think the 06's were a bad year for the fords, 04's & 05's much better quality.

+1!!!
I was thinking same thing!!! Toyota has better quality and has created more jobs than ford in the US here lately.

Toyota is a japanese company! Ford is a American company! DUhDUhDuh!
I work in a body shop and we work on alot of toyota's and when we order parts it say's MADE IN JAPAN on them and when we work on ford's the parts say MADE IN THE USA.
There cars and trucks are assembled over here.
Your right doctor there really isn't no such thing as made in america anymore but atleast I can support a american company like Ford or Chevy.

Lets see when I bought my Tundra the revenue that was generated went to American labor and some went to Japanese labor who built some parts and Japanese management who use their inovation and planning skills to design a top quality vehicle.
When I bought my Ford in 01 that revenue went to UAW labor who inturn pay dues so that UAW leadership can funel that revenue into the coffers of the Democratic party(Yay, Go Obama GO!) Also revenue went to the parts suppliers overseas and in Mexico that Ford (and GM) have shipped American Jobs too. Finaly that Big American CEO gets his cut for his bonus for basicaly running a company into the ground (GM). All this for a substandard product that falls apart in two years while the manufacturer wastes more money trying to wiggle out of doing warrenty work than the actual repairs cost.
Tell me again what buying American is?

I think we all got to support Chevy and Chrysler a few months ago when we loaned them billions of our tax dollars...Ford woulda been there too except they had already leveraged everything they own to the banks that collapsed and so we indirectly got to help them too.
Had all the "support" of American companies I can stand.

I appoligize, I shouldn't have high-jacked your serious thread with all that Toyota stuff.
But since Nick Saban is now a Ford spokesman, I am so affraid that your repair is going to cost more than you were anticipating.
God Bless you

Go buy you some tools and a book for the thing... Its probably just the actuator takes about 10 minutes to change... Put in in 4wd more often, at least a coulpe times a month and it shouldnt go out as often.

Do what he said, unless you wanna pay them to do it. Samething happened to my 06 F150 that was stolen about a month ago, I took it to the ford place and low and behold the damn thing started working, locked in, light came on and everything the first time the turned it. But it was no use since a couple months later it was stolen. Back riding chevy now.
