Deer Hunting on Timber company land near Waynsboro TN, found some odd looking tent pole stakes and some chicken wire out in the middle of no-where.
Hunting partner said that I had stumbled across a POT plant garden.
It was mid-winter, so no plants.....

Found a NICE right side shed from an 8 pt hanging on a limb about 6 ft up a tree. It had been there so long it looked like rotted wood.
Other than that there are the usual suspects each time the Hatchie floods: refridgerators, ancient bottles and tires, old decoys, oil filters, washtubs, enough balls and miscellaneous sports equipment to supply a phys ed class (never have figured out why there were so many balls in the river), old furniture... give me a little bit and I'm sure I'll remember something good though.
The best I've heard was a 4' garden gnome found standing on the bank of the Tuscumbia by my dad and a buddy last year.

We were still hunting for deer on a friends land one day, and found a light bulb. Not just any light bulb, mind you. It was one crystal meth users use to smoke out of. It was black and charred and you could still see a film in it of the stuff. There were no creeks nearby to flood. The nearest road is gravel, if you want to call it that in very rural country. Someone went out of their way to go down and smoke that stuff; I figure someone may have been cooking it in the area. Scared the chitt out of us though.

This bowling ball thing is strange. I found one 2 years ago on the bank of the Cahaba River in Perry County Alabama that had some establishment in Memphis, Tenn. written on the bottom of it.

I've always been amazed at the amount of crap that floats down the MS River and gets hung up in the woods. A never ending supply of Clorox bleach jugs, lots of long pieces of lumber like 20'+, buckets galore, foam pieces of all sizes, and a lot of other crap. I've found a bunch of balloons that went flat after they floated from who knows how far. I still come across a bunch of the old style beer cans also.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I just can't stop myself. How'd you know it was on the bottom?

Found a pot field and later heard they got busted. Also came across about 10 pieces of heavy equipment in a big low spot with lots of trees over it. Turned out to be a hiding place for a theft ring. They actually had a small stolen plane taken apart and hidden in a small house nearby.

Dudes went to the Big House for that one.
