bamawaterfowler wrote:thanks for all the smarta$$ comments...you all represent the state of mississippi very well. as far as asking my buddy he does not live in mississippi and very very rarely goes there so he has no idea what is on it. and it is a private place so i'm not asking where to go hunt on it. but to the people that actually tried to help me thank you
And you live up to the Bammer reputation pretty well yourself. Glad we could help.

Guntersville or Bust 2010 yee-haw :D
how do i live up the the "bammer" reputation? buy "internet scouting?" not hardly, i simply asked a question if there are ducks in the area. yes i would consider this internet scouting if i were asking about public areas but since its private and ya'll can't hunt it anyway this shouldn't be that big of a deal

Well if there are enough ducks on it somebody else is probably hunting it anyway, private or not. My experience with private land that has an owner in a far away land that has good hunting is that somebaody else is probably taking reaaly good care of it for them.

one more......just so you know for sure, without having anyone to blame for "bad info"....

put gas in truck, put butt in seat and burn gas. once there, get pete and joe off the floorboard and out of the truck, then put them to work for a few hours scouting.....put more gas in truck, put butt back in seat and burn gas, again......wash off, put head on pillow, and sleep well after a long day driving and a few hours of walking :|

aight dumba$$.....so your telling me that you are willing to drive a 10 hour round trip....burn the gas getting there and back, walk around in 500 plus acres of flooded timber without using a duck hunting forum to get information from the guys that hunt in the area first? thats the dumbest thing i've ever heard in my life and i know every single one of you agree with me but you aren't going to admit it. but believe it or not there are a few helpful and honest people on here and thanks for the help

I am willing to bet if your internet scouting were to turn out good you would make the 10 hr round trip to shoot the damn things wouldn't you. You never insult people on a internet forum you, asking advice from, its bad juju. The proper thing to do would be to get on learn which members are from that area and PM those particular members asking the info you are wanting. Not broadcast it in open forum, thats why you got the smart comment. Just saying, dumb ass is strong language.

so your saying if you had friend that had abunch of flooded timber somewhere in another state that was a good ways away, you wouldn't check that states duck hunting forum first? if you want to call it internet scouting so be it. i consider internet scouting asking and trying to find good areas to hunt public land that people have worked long and hard to find birds to hunt and i never insulted anyone until i got smartbutt comments back about a simple question.

scouting: the act of one who scouts: the activities, programmes, principles

yep sounds to me that your fitting the definition real well. dude, you ask if an area holds ducks on a forum in the GENERAL DISCUSSION! seriously? if you lived here and were covered up with ducks every winter (not that we ever are, but hypothetically) would you tell some Joe Blow from out of state? hell no you wouldn't. Why would you want more people coming into your area and ruin something that you might consider a good thing. You need a reality check my friend.

If you really want my help then PM me and i will send you my mailing address and you can send me a key to the gate, and directions. I would be more than happy to assist you in seeing if you place is worth you driving over here. Afterall that's what your wanting to know right? if the place will hold ducks without you actually seeing it for yourself right? :?
