My children didn't have the problem that your baby is facing, but I can relate to the anxiety and fear you are facing when they put your child to sleep. I have been through it 8 times. My prayers are with her and you.

I have a child a month and a half old. I cannot imagine the anxiety you are going through. I will tell you this, I sold stents for years and it is a relatively easy, low risk procedure to perform. The success ratio for most is well over 80%. Regardless, I know it is nerve racking. You, your wife and daughter will be in our prayers for sure.

Both of my kids (now 3 and 4 year olds) had to have surgery as infants, but nothing like this. I can only imagine what you are going through, and I offer this from the Book of Common Prayer:

Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of the sheep, you gather
the lambs in your arms and carry them in your bosom: We
commend to your loving care this child Jayme. Relieve her pain,
guard her from all danger, restore to her your gifts of
gladness and strength, and raise her up to a life of service to
you. Hear us, we pray, for you dear Name’s sake. Amen.

Unlucky Duck,

Is there an update on Jayme this afternoon? She's been in my thoughts all day since reading the post for prayer. I called my wife and had her to pray for her, I'll also call my Sunday School teacher and have her added to our prayer group.

The father of 2 young girls myself,
