One Tough SOB

Giving a man a green truck and a badge doesn't neccessarily make him God's Gift to Conservation and Wildlife. I have been around some really shi**y GW's in the MSU area. (They fill the Forestry parking lot regularly.) Some are as corrupt as the hunter's they stalk. MANY AREN'T.
They are the only law enforcement officers that use entrapment on a regular basis. The DEA can't put a Kilo of cocaine on the street and then arrest the person that picks it up, can they? Put ole Stuffy on the side of the road in BFE and put a good rack on him and somebody is gonna shoot whether from a vehicle, the road, or from private property along the road and it is "road hunting."
They routinely tresspass to "inspect your land." Even the FBI, CIA, DEA, city and county law enforcement must have search warrants. The Fourth Ammendement does not apply to GW's. They can walk your place over looking for bait just because they hear you are having a good season.
I have never done anything illegal while hunting. I have never even gotten a traffic ticket, sorta . Maybe it is just the GW's that worked in my stomping ground, but I won't respect any GW that can get away with DWI while in their green truck and then give somebody a ticket for busting a duck a few minutes early or late.
My $0.02
I am sure this will ruffle feathers, but think about it. (The board seemed a little slow today)
Field and Stream had a great article/debate about this a few years back. Read it if you can find it.
In case you forgot your learnin':
nullnullAmendment Article 4
Right of Search and Seizure Regulated.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
