Rise balls never bothered me much, but a 65mph screw ball will make you think twice...high and inside.

Talking under hand fast pitch ....ball at 40+ will be across the plate before you know what happened

I played baseball throughout high school, college and a few semi pro teams, and I can crush a 100mph fastball or anything else for that matter. But My 20 year old sister could sure make me look stupid with a 62mph softball!

I just never got into the slow pitch mens softball thing. I was always amazed watching my sister play through high school and then at the college level at how fast the game of fast pitch is. They litterally have no time to react once the ball is hit in the infield because the bases are so close together compared to a baseball diamond. There is no doubt that a 16-18 year old girl could strike my booty out more than once.

some teams do and look out in tournaments or church leagues that don't have much directions. During our games we always clown with the pitcher when we throw a new ball in that it might be hot as it just came out the oven.

Not sure if you remember this or not but my wife was a D1 fastpitch pitcher  9 years later she still throws in the low 60's....
