put a coleman xtreme and yeti side by side. Same amount of ice, and didnt open either for 24 hours.

Sorry to say the coleman beat the yeti.

My favorite part about my YETI's is when I open the lid and see the "Certified Grizzly Bear Proof" decal inside. Haha. On that off chance that a grizz is after my bud light, I want to know that the big brown "illegitimate child" is NOT getting in.

Yeah I'm going to have to replace my refidgerator here soon and after looking at all the reviews I think I am just going to buy a Yeti...2 or 3 bags of ice a year and I can take it with me. :D

Check with Torch, if NAPA sells them he may be able to give a Ducksouth price.

There are several places that now offer free ice for life if you buy a cooler. I know ACE in cleveland does. My uncle goes up there a couple of times a week and fills it up.

Guy told me his came with a bag of ice, and that he has been using the same bag of ice now for 2 years now. :D

I think that yeti coolers are just a fad right now. I know a few guys that have them just for beer and what not, and the yeti used for that purpose in not any better than a walmar coleman.

If you want a beer cooler go to walmart if you want something to hold ice and food and few dranks for a 5 day camping trip buy ya Yetie. You going to waste your money if you buy one for beer.

It's not a waste of money any more than buying a Rolex over a Timex is wasting money. They both do essentially the same function, one just has a higher price tag. If you have the money to get a YETI, get one if you want it. I've used mine to keep fish on ice in transport and I've used mine to hold beer. They're not magic, just solid well made coolers that happen to be expensive. Only you can decide how to spend your own money.

No joke, took the yeti back and the salesman said it must be defective. The guy said this was the 1st complaint he had heard about the yeti and swaped it for a new one. Did the same comparison with the new Yeti with the same results. The $65 coleman outdid the yeti. By the way, it wasnt my yeti, you know how cheap I am. :P

Prep a Yetie and the Coleman see who has ice in 7 days  Coleman is a damn good beer cooler not knocking them. But
If you don't prep a Yeti you might as well buy a Coleman it has thinner sides so it don’t weight no 25 pounds like a yetie. But drop the Coleman out the back of the truck or let it blow out see how she makes it. Mine never faired to well.

This is how I look at it the does the Coleman got the lifetime warranty?(which I guess if you get from wally world I guess it does but anyway) What about the hedges? Will she crack up her side when it freezes? Do you half to worry about it blown out of the boat or truck what about the the lid flying off?

people need to keep buying the cheapo ones, I get free ice chests when they go flying out the boat. :)

I'll stop and pick up a ice chest without a lid on the road any day because I know I will come across just a lid at some point. New hinges and I got a new ice chest.

The latest fad in the sporting industry.

Blake, what do you mean prep it? You have to do something to it before putting in ice!!!!

As far as blowing out the back of the truck, I have never had that happen.
