 I may be wrong but I think everette was asking what shot size we thought would be good to shoot with a 10 guage.

I agree with a few of the guys that answered your question. No. 1's or b's for better knockdown power and more down range energy.

Everette, maybe you should have asked "How we felt about shooting a 10 guage" to get recommendations on shot size. :D

Its funny, I flinch and jerk when shooting a .30-06, but I can shoot a ten gauge no problem. I am on the small size (5,9 155) but handle the ten gauge just fine. I hunt open water on the Atlantic coast alot, and you need that extra steel to bring down the bluebill, redheads, buffleheads, and ringnecks that scream along the surface 40 yards away from the spread. Get number 2 or 3 and you will be in business.

Shoot my 10 in the fields with Supreme BB's--bad medicine on mallards. Use a 12 in the timber-handles quicker. If you want to see just how Bad it really is-buy a box of Wingmaster HD in BB's and if you can get your lead down you can kill geese DEAD at 70 yards-break a wing at 80--done it several times.
