turd head hawk somethin or other wrote this!
They did cut me for telling their president what I thought of their fraternity. No skin off my back. They're a bunch of city boy posers who put on the country boy act and carry themselves like they're good ol' boy royalty. I"ll call them out all day long. If you can't walk the walk don't talk the talk.

So boys if you cant walk the walk don't talk the talk! Holy Moly........so i had better throw away all the caps that have been given to me over the years so that i won't tempt anybody to call me out cause i cant "walk the walk".
From now on i will only wear garment with advertising that promotes:
Food (in general)
Milk, powdered donuts, sliced ham and roast beef (specifically)
skoal
toilet paper
engineering
spongebob (cause i am a freakin expert on this subject)

I apologize to the "hardcore" members of the following organizations:
John Deere
Case IH
Cat
every heavy construction company between Jackson and Memphis
all previous employers
Treflan (got an old school 1978 model cap)
several golf clubs throughout the country
others i can't recall at this moment

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to clear up this matter!

What HAS this place become?!?!?!

First, there was the guy wanting info about the gay coffee maker. Then there was the guy who wants us all to know about his flatulance problem with venison. Then, we're told that we can't be true waterfowlers unless we get ourselves a motorized remote control dead duck retriever because we'll scare off the cupping birds. Now this!

Will somebody please post up about a good bourbon for sale in the general area? Or better yet, please bring us all a shot of bourbon before we shoot ourselves with the latest Bennelli or Browning whatchamacallit, with the new and improved waterfowl chokes!

Well that explains it all. I waded through all those pages of BS yesterday but didn't comment. Yes, duck hunting is the cool thing to do right now. What I think is that we need to make something else cool and use reverse psychology on all the so called good ol' boy royalty posers... Most the guys that are doing this poser thing will never set foot in a swamp so who gives a chit if they try to act like they're duck hunters because for the most part the only fast food they know of is Mickey D's, BK, and Taco Bell not a mallard duck. Screw getting up early and going hunting because if I buy a pair of 100 dollar tight jeans, some Tony Lama boots, and a drake hat one of these stupid little college girls might sleep with me for thinking I'm cool. That is the mindset we're dealing with. Absolutely nothing to lose sleep over, I'll promise ya. The biggest threat to our sport, in the south especially, is giving all your money to DU and they take it 3000 miles away and I never see any repremands from it. That's just my personal opinion and you boys in the main flyway might see it a little different from me or you may even crucify me for bad mouthing DU (I am a member currently but am questioning joining next year just because they won't do anything for ME hate to be selfish but that's how it is). I emailed Alabama's lead DU guy and he talked to me about we need to send our money to the duck factory and then he started talking about his deer club. I don't care anything about shooting a woods goat, they're a dime a dozen. I would just like to see my money spent to help my state or at very least region.

Sorry for the rant, been sippin a little bit tonight... That usually tends to happen.

I read that post until I got bored, think I made page 3. The one thing I was thinkin is them "posers' get the exact same vote at the polls as you and me. If they think hunting is "cool" even though they don't do it, when they are lookin at candidates or voting on something that may affect hunting in our lifetime, I really really want them pulling the pro-hunting lever in the voting booth. If they hunt for a year and then quit, they will still say to themselves, "I used to hunt, it was okay. Folks that like it should be able to". I think they should be welcomed aboard for whatever they want to do. Unless they are skybusting birds workin our dekes, then **** em. But if they ain't hurtin us, they may be helpin us and I am all for them thinking hunting is cool.

I make a good livin and I can't justify Costas. Nor a lot of them other toys. Drake gear is worth the money though. It is made by duck hunters and you can tell when you use the products.

Oh just remembered, I bought a McAllisters shirt this year. I tried to keep it him from my buddies, but they caught me. I did get it for 75% off, but they still gave me a fit. Does 30 years of killin ducks overcome one "poser" move?

I guess we're lucky. DU has done a good job on helping most of our WMA's here in N MS.

"Yeah you rite" as they say in 'Nawlins. I am sure there is some projects in Albania too that AMan does not know about. Check AL out on DU website and you may pe suprised! I am a member of DW also.

There are a few projects that DU has done good on. I've been doing a little research, I was also doing a little drinking while I was ranting. But seriously, I don't know what y'alls membership numbers are over there but we have a chapter in every town that I know of anywhere within a 50 mile radius of any public body of water and I just can't see where DU is keeping much of that money in the state. Heck, I'd say that at least 40% of the money earned should be kept in the state it was earned in. Just for fairness's sake. There are a few local waterfowl associations such as AwA but all they do is band birds and release them. They don't (to my knowledge) really do a whole lot for the habitat. It isn't that Alabama doesn't GET birds, we just have nothing to HOLD birds. For example, one week I'll see 2k plus birds in an area and within 2-3 days every single one of those birds will be GONE. They move on to somewhere that has suitable habitat for them. Alabama Power and the Army Corp of Engineers is the biggest problem because of their unorthidox water fluctuations on our rivers and streams. I've contacted DU several times, as have others I know, about getting something together to show to AL Power and the Corp and maybe persuade them into leaving our water levels alone and to get them to quit killing all the aquatic vegetation but have yet to hear anything that holds water from anyone in the DU organization. That's what caused my rant.

So if we get DU to spend more money in Alabama, y'all will stay over there?
