recruiting results don't mean jack....state's had top 5 classes in the nation recently and they didn't and haven't done jack. kinda hard to recruit guys during a coaching change when you head coach is in the nfl and has a different philosophy as to who to recruit. as for the #1 pick.......won't be manning.......san diego's already said they won't take it.........can't afford him.

Perhaps some of the MooU players should try that approach. They might finish a little higher in the Heisman voting, or win the Unitas award. Perhaps even win some games. Duh.....

It is funny to sit here and read some of the posts about MSU and um. We all know that MSU and um will never be more than average teams. I played at MSU and will always be a MSU fan but to beleive that they will ever win a national championship and contend for the SEC every year is a little far fetched. I know there are alot of people that want Silvester Croom to fail but that will not happen. It might take him a fewyears to clean up the program but it will happen and when he does they will be a respectable program and will win there share of games. I know MSU recruiting class this year was not that good. It was really below average but that will all come in time. The last time I looked at um recruiting class it was 8th or 9th in the SEC and like 33rd in the nation. If that is all a 10 win season gets you then they are in big trouble anyway. GO DAWGS !

Only an idiot would come here a post a bunch of ranting a ravings about how good Msu's 2003 football edition would be. Understand only someone whos blinded in maroon could be so foolish. Ask Don Miller he and I went to the spring football game prior to the 03 season. It was horriendioudddds!!!! We walked away from that game knowing that we would be better of to concentrate on teallie birds and doves...

Wrong!!!! Sherrill proved that with the right coach in place that Starkville could compete on a national level... People remember how just a few years back we were the most physical team in the SEC.. Fans won't be surpised at all if Croom turns this thing around...

Lastly, there are two things I won't even address.. Who in the hell would bet on state... and do people really go to recuriting parties!!!

Oh yea Sliverback we more than likley won't win a national championship in hoops... we have the talent but I doubt we have the luck. lets face it state has been a very unlucky school throughout the years. too many events to recall... I keep the faith that we are due bad overdue

be careful talkin baseball, have no idea what state has nor ole miss, but I know for a fact LSU has one of their best teams ever to take the field in baseball right now. Weather that mens a championship or not will remain to be seen, but we are loaded right now.

Mississippi State baseball team was not in the preseason top 25....but who else is?
