Where is twin harbor??

North part of the Madison side. Come out Hoy Rd from 51 and turn left on North Old Canton ( I think). It will take you right out there to Twin Harbor.

I went with a buddy from lefleurs all the way to the spillway. I dont see any problem being able to float it. It has some awesome sand bars. Only issue i saw was GATORS galore. No way in heck my wife is gonna go for that> Maybe with a big group. Also i bought the book and im gonna check it out. Ill be hollering at some of yall.

There are about 800 keith plunketts. Several of which are in this are. Anyone got his email???

It's not bad at all. This year the race was kind of unusual. The wind was blowing about 20mph and it caused some pretty big swells. I think 4 kayaks and no canoes flipped. No loss of life or kayaks. BluzCruz has a Facebook page and there are a couple of videos that participants took while paddling. You should check them out. One day this summer after the river has gone down 20 or 30 feet you'll have to drive over and we can paddle upriver a ways so you can see what it's like. I have people look at me like I'm crazy and tell me they'd never get on the river in a jon boat, much less a canoe. Nine times out of ten those are the folks that have only seen the river while driving over it in their cars.

Man Im gonna have to trust you for now. I will try some stuff but that jsut seems a little dangerous. I wil defiantely have to lead up to something like that.

when you thinkin about going? I'm about ready to start doin some paddlin myself... May try to get a trip up on the big black next weekend...
