What is this ecoboost? Is this similar to a tow/haul feature in a Tundra?

this is what i have been quoted on a 2011 Ford F150 Lariat 5.0L V8 with everything but a sunroof and navigation.

MSRP: 43,760.00

Rebate: 3,500

Price: 40, 260.00 (not taking in tt&l)

i wouldn't think they are taking 10k off for a total price of 33k.

Does this sound close to what you fellas paid?

Sure. Why not? I got over $10k off a truck with a cheaper sticker than that last year. If you're not taking dealer financing, $10k is an average figure to expect to take off sticker nowadays on these trucks -- this time of year, especially.

Check out truecar.com. Configure your vehicle with all the options and see what quote is given. Take a bit more $$ off of that price, and negotiate to that number.

I bought a 150 SuperCrew 4x4 about 3 months ago... wish I would have gotten the Eco Boost. Everything I've read since, this motor will be one that revolutionizes 1/2 ton trucks. I had an 08 SuperCrew and the new truck gets 3-5MPG better than the 5.4 Triton and has more horses. There's a noticeable difference in power when pulling my camper.. plus I get 10MPG as compared to 7 with the 08 F150.

I used the 0% for 60 instead of any rebates... I got into this 2011 truck for the same I was paying for the 08 (monthly note wise).. so it was a no brainer for me.

I got rid of my 2008 Crew cab Z71 and got a 2011 XLT SuperCrew EcoBoost 4x4 July 1. I love this truck. I've owned Chevy's most of my driving carrier and one Nissan Titan Pro 4X which at the time was the stoutest gas truck I'd ever owned. This EcoBoost is way better than it. If you haven’t driven one you need to. I’m getting 21.5mpg on the interstate(70mph) and if i can set the cruse at 50-55 I’m getting 26mpg. (Ill post some pics for proof, already been there)

I picked the XLT because i (personal preference) didn’t like the light wood grain in the Lariat and preferred the chrome over the black out of the FX4. I added leather to my seats and saved $4k on the final price compared to the FX4

I tried to deal local but they didnt want my money. So I got mine from Bill Hood Ford in Hammond and couldn’t be happier with the service, unreal in keeping me happy. $4500 rebates and well below sticker price before rebates. they have an online quoting deal that is no hassle and easy to use. It will surprise you when they send you a price. PM me and i can get you in touch with a great salesman.

Thats awesome. Have you been getting that kind of MPG since you drove off the lot? I got mine end of july, 2,500 miles or so and havent busted 19MPG overall, yet. Ive read that the motor needs to break in and then MPG will increase?

Just picked up a 2011 Lariat 4x4 with the Ecoboost. Still on the first tank but mpg is at 18 and climbing the more I drive it. I got pinched off on the 4 lane passing a truck when somebody pulled out and had to gouge on it to get clear. It was like hyperspace - one moment I was here and the next, there.

Very comfortable cab and much better negotiating environment than Toyota. Was not going GM this time.

Anyone noticing the transmission to be a little "jumpy"....almost like it can't figure out what gear it wants to be in? Noticed it some in mine and heard it is just a characteristic of the Ford 6-speed, but not a repair issue.
The two loudest sounds in the world are a BANG when you expect a CLICK and a CLICK when you expect a BANG.

Hell my 07 does that... Gets happy and downshifts then shifts out early some times. Usually does it when I'm in Nascar mode mainly. :D
