Right, like anyone with an IQ higher than 70 can't figure out who I am. Like by clicking the "waterfowlreview" link under my name. Duh. If you put "attorney" in your profile, you get 15 e-mails a day from people who want free detailed advice on their next divorce. Thats why I took it out. You will also see "Biloxi, MS" on all my posts, which was the reason for the initial post. Duh, again. It ain't the pot calling the kettle black, its more like "the kettle grasping for an excuse."

GC, you make my point for me. I know who you are, you have not hidden your identity; but, it is not the "profile" that has provided this information ---you have in your prior posts on this board.

I don't think that I have ever hidden my identity and am willing to identity myself to anyone who cares to know. My email address is clearly prominent if anyone cares to communicate. I stand by every post I have made on this board. We all make mistakes or say something we probably shouldn't have in the heat of an exchange from time to time, so I am not saying that I have never had any regrets. But, the "profile" being complained about is not going to cure any perceived anonymity problems. It is not specific enough, even if filled out completely.

I will be glad to talk to her for you! I know what it was like to grow up under a totalitarian regime with no regard for civil liberties! :D

msduckman you lookin to hunt some of these unethical folk down? 8) like on the movie phone booth? I bet a good hunter with some general idea of roundabout location could do a couple body snatches on some top level VCI gazing at their computers at three in the morning. Damn I thought i was debriefed, its all coming back now something in the back of my head tells me it's time for a parakeet op

Does it really make that much of a difference? Who cares where everybody is from or what they do for a living? I thought all of us here are here for one thing, the love of the outdoors and the fellowship to share it with others? Seems rather trivial to me for those of you who have their feathers ruffled about something so insignificant. Or maybe it's just a way for some folks to brag about what they do, kill, where they hunt, how they hunt, how good they are, etc. etc etc

You boys just don't get the picture at all. I and many others personally like to see what city posters are from and what background they work in. Learning that a person is into retail gives you insight on what drives a person to say what they say. Knowing where they are from tells you if they even have a voice in a subject matter that is related to a specific local.

By saying what town you live in and generic job funtion is in no way invasive. So why the hell not.

I tell you why because many are scared that when they spout off someone might figure out who they really are. It is that ability to be something your not. Or even better to keep people guessing if your really somebody at all.

I voiced my opinion on this subject so if you don't want to fill it in so be it. I'll not sweat the small stuff. hehehe

But I still think your a weeeneerr if ya don't

They don't fill out the profile for the same reason they don't show up at MSDucks get togethers. If everybody knows who they are, what fun would that be? I guess they are scared we might figure out that they don't fit the Phil Robertson-type image they project.
