Daughter came home after this happened from the middle school and she mentioned it. Some of the non-swimmers has told her they know who is doing it and you are correct. They told her these people are going through neighborhoods looking for packages to sell for drugs. UPS stopped by on Friday and I caught the driver. She said for me to call the terminal and she thought I could stop it from being delivered.

I am so pizzed at Fedex right now I could bite a nail in tow pieces. Got a call and they said tough luck, it ain't our fault. I admitted my daughter saw it which means they ain't responsible. Yes, it would have been the responsible thing for my daughter to kick it in the door as she came home from school. But she's 13. Her mind was everywhere but kicking the package in the door. It ain't her responsibility anyway. She's the only one who saw the box. Mack's is going to eat it but I don't think it's right. Fedex is the one who dumped it in plain sight. Macks says they have a certain amount of loss built into their system for stuff like this. Both Fedex and Macks say they have packages come up missing quite frequently.

What do y'all think? I've already had the talk with the daughters that any packages left are to be put in the house after they have checked to make sure it is supposed to come here and is indeed ours. I told Fedex nobody is going to file a police report right off and say their minor daughter say it if it wasn't so. They just appear to be trying to sleaze out of it to me. The Fedex representative actually asked me why I cared. I had my replacement and I wasn't going to be charged by Macks so what's my problem. She was in Cincinnati and I told her it was a Southern thing she wouldn't understand.

Thats the same issue I ran into with Fedex and Macks. Luckily macks is very good about these issues. Contacting Fedex wont do nothing at all. Macks will send you another with no problems, then they will go after Fedex for the money. It works trust me. Thats the only people macks ships with so fedex will pay them back in order to keep their business and not lose it.

Fedex dropped a package off at my garage, not front door. Box was missing so I called macks when I got home and explained it to them. The next morning they shipped out another pair of waders to me through fedex air. Well this shipment got lost somehow after 2 days. Macks did not wait and sent me another pair next day which I had to sign for. Got them and then about 3 days later got the other pair that was lost in fedex. Called macks and they said keep them becuase they already filled the claim and approved it. Well I went ahead and sent them back either way becuase of how their customer support was. Paid off becuase then they gave me a gift card for honesty!

Little irrelevant with packages being stolen but I like the way this guy deals with thieves. His neighbors should be thankful he's lookin out for them.

Got a visit from the Fed Ex subcontractor that delivers for my area. She was offering to pay me the cost of the order. I told her Macks had already made it good. Evidently, she hires drivers for her subcontracted business of delivering freight for Fed Ex. She said she had been doing this for over 20 years and in that time had only 2 complaints filed and they were obvious cases of the customer wanting free stuff. In the last few weeks she has had nine complaints all similar to mine with the same driver. The driver was terminated and a police report filed. They caught him back tracking his route picking up boxes he had left and having someone he knew follow him stealing packages. All that and he got caught driving drunk.

So, even though we don't know specifically he or the person he was partnering with took my package, the odds are that it was. Cops supposedly have found merchandise he stole on route in his possession.

Told her she didn't owe me but that Macks was the one who is holding the bag right now. If Macks charges my card twice I'm to call her and she will take care of it. I suggested she call Macks and offer to settle with them. It all comes straight out of her pocket. I asked her if she had her drivers bonded in case stuff like this happened and she said she did but the deductible is $500 per occurrence. Anything less and she coughs it up.

This is the problem with UPS and Fedex. Union and non union. Im in management and some places are good with union drivers and some are not. Luckily here our Union is not that hard to deal with.

Fedex is non union. Here lays the problem. All of their drivers are subcontractors period. Non of them are actual fedex employees per fred smith. The trucks you see on the road delivering are actual owned by a individual, so when problems come up that owner has to deal with them rather then fedex. Like truck breaks down its their problem to fix it and get it on the road. Good ole Fred has dodge the bullet many many years with the union, only becuase he has the money. Like the pilots for fedex next door said, could you imagine what the hub in memphis would look like if those monkeys got the union on their side.

Fred even said himself, if they become union and vote it in then he will start charging 40% more for each shipment and also close down stations.

Just take a minute to stop a driver when he delivers to you and ask him some questions. They can tell you all kinds of things. I know in my area they took alot of their vacation time from them, personal days and also pay cuts last year. I dont think this is right period. Some of these drivers do 100 pick up and deliveries in a day. That is actually pretty hard to do and do on a daily basis as well. Then they come in and take alot of stuff from them.
