Fairly mild weather and a ridiculous amount of water have dispersed the ducks. Recent reports from some very good clubs in Arkansas and Mississippi show mostly spotty results. There is no reason to doubt that the overall numbers are up - but when you have about 100 times the habitat that is needed/wanted, the ducks don't get so concentrated.

I just got through looking at a radar. There is some precipitation at the same longitude as Omaha, NE. When rain isnt even freezing up that way, then the ducks dont have to go anywhere. We need some serious clippers, and not from the West....straight down from the North.

The freeze line hasn't really moved much...at least not enough to push big groups of ducks into our area of the country. They will come. Everybody gets a little frustrated sometimes this time of year. I don't hit the panic button 'til January.

I give 5 answers and ONE is a little bit salty, and people give me chit for it? Really? This place seems to have gotten quite sensitive. Perhaps we need a separate Skirt forum where all questions are answered with proper kings English and all attitude is left at the door. If you dont like it haul your booty over to the bull.

All i can say is wow even though the diary chit is hilarious but to say the least i know where the ducks ate but i aint tellin hehe well i guess i can its my honey hole i named it myself and its west of west and if u figure that out u purty smart

Duck hunting is a winter sport. Anyone who is fortunate enough to shoot ducks before then is just that....... "fortunate."
as Hambone said, strong clubs and usual good producing duck holes dont have em right now

dont rush a good thing, duck hunting is to be enjoyed with friends, family, dogs and whiskey., but lets face it, we can all enjoy that and not go duk hunting. killing ducks just amplifies those good times together.

Ill finish this answer to "where are the ducks???" by take heed the first day of winter is

December 22, which would be in 9 days,

this is not some great theory out of the blue as to why ducks start to show up in MS around Christmas

if your re a deer hunter, you wouldnt go into the woods where you knew beforehand there were no deer. (unless you did not scout beforehand, and if you didnt dont be suprised either way)

Duck season starts in nov, dont let season dates set by others force you to go. if your re a duck HUNTER, duck hunting starts in the WINTER

NOW hopefully this question has been cleared up and no one will ask again until after dec 22nd, even the internet bad asses have to get a drink of water between rounds

Mud, if I remember correctly your va-ja-ja was aching for a week after the new policy came out. Queer.

This is not an isolated incident. The context of the original post in this thread is far within the boundaries of acceptable conversation. I would venture to say the majority of you hard asses converse with humans in real life much differently. If not, then curse the day I may have to be your neighbor. Of course, the ducksouth slingin' the big pecker club can dictate the flow of acceptable conversation at a variable rate comparable to nothing less than the mood swings of a common street whore during the menstrual cycle.

But, life ain't fair, so here's to stickin' it to the (little) man.

My belly aching had nothing to do with the new policy. It was about the way it was enforced. I got my one and only "warning' from a post about trespassing /public water way for mentioning the body of water where I was told I was trespassing! People up in arms must have whined to Micah and this is the result!
