Hambone, i have had water before, but only in it for a day, maybe two at most. You will get a layer of mud on floor, if insulation is in walls it needs to come out, walls need to be sprayed with clorox solution to prevent mold. Now . . . . this "illegitimate child" is gonna stay for a lot more than a day. I read somewhere where crest is gonna hold for something like 10 days before falling. So say you have water in your place for two weeks. Floors will be buckled, prolly have to replace to the subfloor, walls could be bowed out, its not gonna be good dude. I would say a shovel, some help, and a pressure washer will be a good start. But lets hope that a flooded cabin is the worst of our concerns. Its still raining in the valley . . . . we might all be on top of a cotton shed before its over

I got alot of pictures tonight of the casinos in Tunica. Never though you'd see water in them but its there and im sure it will be more. Parking lots are covered and the grand (whatever its name is) is holding water now.

So really, not being a jerk by no means guys. You all have opened my eyes to alot with all this flooding.
What option do you all really have besides packing up and heading to higher ground? I mean everything is full already and no where to dump the extra water. I know every river around here is full and coming out now. They said it will crest at 59 here on May 10th. Which is like 3 feet above what they said this morning I believe.

You guys south seem to be about to get the worst of it.

I hope not.....but the water was about 250-300 yards from Hwy 3 on the west side of the levee this afternoon.

I am looking at levee heights on Satartia levee right now. Top of levee is bumping 110 at Satartia to 111 +........down at Willow Brake.
Its gonna be close.............high water lapping at the levee crown of a levee made out of $#!+!

Boy, I hope the elevation on Google Maps is wrong.

If not, Belzoni, Isola and a couple of indian mounds will be about the only dry ground in Humphreys.

Very few spots 110 or above here.

Man, I told a few folks back in the winter as dry as it was last year, I figured it would start raining right about planting time and wouldn't quit. Didn't see this one coming, though.
