bigbeeducker,

i concur in your assessment of tallgrass ale......not good :? ......

great idea on inexpensive, full concealment of the beer - to keep the harmful effects of sunlight at bay, i assume - but the product needs more work!

it will still be here next time you're here...football season is close though, it may get pawned off for latenight beer

i've had some jackamo that was so-so (lil harsh on the backside) and i've had some really good jackamo....i've heard it is really good on tap, so i must'a gotten some jackamo with dingleberries when it was so-so (bottletops were crusty dusty)!

Haven't gotten it on tap yep, and I've only found it in one liquor store in Memphis. I do likes it though!

if you aren't talking about buster's (corner of highland and poplar), they carry it...buster's is a must if i have to drive to memphis to pick up the wife at the airport when weather won't let her back in to golden triangle....or just about any trip to memphis for any reason!

some buster's favorites:
victory hop wallop (one of my favorites - very hoppy!!)
victory hop devil ipa(not quite as hoppy as wallop, but very nice ipa)
sierra nevada torpedo ipa
abita jackimo
thunderhead ipa - they don't last long on the shelf, so if they have it, get as much as you can afford......well worth it!
dogfish 90 or 120
sierra nevada seasonal ipa's (should be getting hemisphere in soon. big bottles - if they have it, get it - outstanding!!)
any of the chimay's, they have
titan ipa
hercules imperial ipa

Tried a new stout that I picked up (of all places) at Publix. It's called Left Hand Milk Stout. If you like Guiness, you will dig this brew. Apologies if it's been mentioned already.

Try to find the Left Hand Sawtooth Ale... By far my favorite, but dang hard to find. The only place I have ever seen the Sawtooth is at Vulcan Package in Bham. They just about have it all.... Great spot to visit when up that way.

Funny you mentioned the Two Hearted. I saw it in a gas station in Bham and bought a sixer.

Pretty good stuff so far, tried one last night.

I need to get back over to GA and buy some Fat Tire. Haven't had some of that in a long while.

Spending Christmas in the Rockies....Mule deer, bull elk, snow, and beer. Got filets for the grill tonight with some Pete's Wicked Strawberry Blonde, Estes Park Renegade, and Estes Park Raspberry Wheat to wash it all down. Life is good tonight. Yes indeed.
