I think that is like 7 feet higher than the Vidalia side levee...wow.
Vidalia levees are at 70 feet. COE are confident that the levees will hold the water unless overtopped at Vidalia. I'm hearing mumblings about St. Joe/Waterproof area. The levee there is at 63.5 ft.

They are not barricaded or anything but you are only supposed to be on them if going to your property, to retrieve things, etc. Before it's all said and done, they'll probably be closed.

They will be closed to ALL traffic saturday night at midnight. Only levee personel and law enforcement will be allowed on levee after then.

Coahoma is shut to everyone. they filed papers on the CEO of Casinos for getting on it. Friend had his boat trailer confiscated this weekend. when he went to check on his camp and move a few more things. my boss left some stuff that would have been ok with early projections but will be lost now with the new ones. he's highly ticked off that he cant go in at coahoma but bolivar county can.

Nothing at this point. The river is really not exceptionally high right now. Nothing that it hasn't been numerous times before. It's just all anticipation right now that's driving everyone. Click the link below to hear the Vidalia meeting from this morning.

Tell him to go to the County line and put in and head north.

How does the levee system in Arkansas compare to the one in Mississippi? Is there a greater chance of it breaking or topping as opposed to ours?
