Several have asked about things they could send back with us. We leave Sunday, so this is short notice, but here are a few things the missionary we work with has mentioned. No pressure. Just thought I would bring the need out. If you are local to the Jackson area, I can pick items up from you.
1. Several of the children have asked her for underwear. (boys medium size, boys large size and men's adult small) colored boxer briefs are the kind the boys typically wear. Here is a link to a picture.

2. Plastic lace. This can be bought at craft stores. They make bracelets out of them. Michelle said she can use as much of this as I can bring. Any colors.
3. Watches. Michelle's team plans on giving them to the children for Christmas. It is something that can't be stolen because the children are wearing them.
4. Christmas wrapping paper to wrap the watches
5. If anyone has an unlocked iphone they are not using I would like to take one to Michelle. She said there is a child from Ethiopia that uses her phone to call his family in Ethiopia. She could do it from Skype less expensively if she had a smart phone. She didn't ask for this. I just thought I would throw it out there and see if anyone had one.
6. legos. (used is fine). She had 18 kids crowded around the other day playing with the legos she had!

Well, we're on the road again! We left Jackson this morning with a whole bunch of birthday and Christmas presents for the orphans. We literally had 200 pounds of socks, underwear, and watches for the kids. Everyone in our traveling party packed personal clothes in a carry-on which let us maximize space and weight for the gifts.
We'll get to Kiev a few hours from now. I have Anastasia's phone number so we can call her then. we have to overnight in Kiev due to flight schedules so we'll get to Odessa at the equivalent of 3am Tuesday in Jackson.
It hurts to lose 8 hours to the time change.
Stay tuned for more updates.

The Lindsey Family just grew by two! Our court hearing was a few hours ago and our petition was granted. We took the kids out for an epic celebration dinner. Lots of happy faces tonight.

I'm having lunch with two new Lindsey children!
The court decree was final yesterday so we picked them up from the camp and brought them to the apartment. There was a bundle of energy last night but everybody eventually got some sleep.
You guys will be happy to know both children have been given their first duck call - a DR85. BTW, Ukrainian neighbors don't like duck calls any more than American neighbors.
More later - there's a chance we can all come home together next week!
