i have never worn a jacket duck hunting, unless riding the boat. i have a wool zip up that i wear if its bad out.

the first week of dec. it was 0 with out the wind chill. and i didnt wear a jacket.

under armour, long sleeve thermal, cabelas waterfowl sweather (best hunting shirt ever) and a fleece shirt.

i only wear my under armour under my jeans if its below 15.

jackets are usless to me

The hodgman wader jacket I got from Walmart worked great . Hunted this morn never thought about getting cold. Those coats were orginally $100.00 That walmart across from North Park had about 8 of them yesterday. They were $35 can't go wrong. Shadow grass with zip off hood. Nice jacket.

I agree. Jackets are for pansies. I usually just cover my naked torso in lard and hit the drink!!

Another vote for Herter's 4 in 1 parkas. I have two and they are not too bulky yet they keep you very warm.

Mottlet you 'll never learn lard leaves a trail in the water....go with Bio degradable cooking oils its harder for the GW's to track ya.

I have a gore-tex shell for the ride in, otherwise I almost never wear a jacket.

Capaline base layer, light fleece wader pants, drake turtleneck with waterproof sleeves and shoulders and a hat and I am fine to well below freezing. My hands do get tore up, though.
