I am for both a shell limit and a ban on spinners. I think the shell limit should be as low as possible. I am all for 15 shells and would not be overly opposed to a 10 shell limit.

Just thought I would post up a word of encouragement to ya Jim,

I do not visit the General Discussion forum much any more due to the lack of usaful conservation. But this is a great thing you are doing, I would like to even see these same regulations enforces on all public land ( ACOE) included.

It has gotten to a point that with the spinners and other mechanicial devices that any one can get a duck within 50-60 yds of a spread, With unlimited shells and the light weight steel shot that most are using they blast away at these incredibally long shots and these ducks who are mortally wounded do not drop dead but fly off and die. We have all seen it numorus occasions.

By limiting the number of shells ( even if you go to 3 shots per bird for a 6 duck limit---18 total) and outlawing the use of mechanical decoys then I feel duck hunting over all would improve for every one.

My .02

I have always thought that communication was a two way deal. Those that complain about the topics of conversation, information, etc. are absolutely free to start their own threads about those very things. Thus, while on the surface such criticism can seem somewhat useful, it is actually a moot point since the cure to the problem often rests with the complainer himself. Those of us who choose to participate, by posting our opinions and exposing ourselves sometimes to ridicule or strong disagreement from others, should be the ones commended, as opposed to scolded. As to the lurkers who rarely post, and then when they do post they complain about other posters and the topics they discuss, I would say do something about it by posting yourself . We are not here for your entertainment.
