i follow the principle your'e talking about.... and agree with it..... but the only competition BS has is walkons and one scholarship qb, none of which are about a sophomore level... it wasn't any of their "time" to play....
and i was kidding about talking about me playing sports earlier... and yes, the quote was pretty f'd up, but i recovered nicely

Sun rise in the east.... and it sets up in the West, yes the sun rise in east baby, and it sets up in the west..... It's hard to tell, hard to tell, hard to tell, which one, which one I love best.....

Well, last time I checked this board was as dead as my sex life, so I decided to fire this beyotch up.
This might be one of the saddest statements I have ever seen. Because this board was pretty friggin dead. That type of statement made me wonder if you were a little feminine

Actually in the day and age of not redshirting, the voluntary summerworks are very important. Arks new highly rated QB showed up on campus two day after his hs graduation, This helps two fold, Mitch with his timing with the current recievers and building a repoire with them and secondly installing his former coaches plays and learning them without his (coach) being there. I mean who else better to teach the news plays than the person thats been running some of them for over four years. Its now highly frowned upon not doing the Volunteer workouts, especially in the the SEC. Freshmen are truly counted upon to contribute with the early departures and scollie limits in the skill positions. Summer school alos gets them a leg up on keeping up with the classes to maitain that they stay on track(more NCAA BS). If a School is counting on an impact freshman to help its very important they get their asses on the field as soon as possible and learn the playbook and routes and checks and everything else that makes college ball a step up from Feelherup High.

Big Gumbo, if the Hogs are counting on a true frosh ---Mustain ---to lead them to a winning season this year, then it is going to be a looooong season for the Hogs. I don't care if he got there the day after HS graduation, and has thrown passes to receivers 24/7 the entire summer, it ain't gonna matter. The Hogs will go as far as Casey Dick can take them this year. If Mustain has to play as a frosh, then next year will be the year to look to.
