Keep it up GC, I'll make sure to cook you the special sausage instead of throwing it in the gut pile.

March 15th, it IS......I've reserved the club for that day.

5-stand is already set-up because of the SGC 5-stand league that runs thru the end on March. Skeet, Trap, and Trap doubles will also be open and available for use.

Duckhuntalot.....I'll take you up on the pit......bring yours, please.

I'm looking forward to seeing old aquaintances and making new ones.

As before, it will be everyone's responsibility to abide by the club rules to insure the safety and enjoyment of all those participating in this event. Each of you will essentially be my personal guest, so I expect everyone to honor THAT, as well.

That being stated........I'm looking forward to having a great time! Knock some ideas around. We had a trading table at the last one. Bring any duck hunting related items you wish to trade or sell.

Also, not knowing how many folks will attend, it works best if everyone bring their own food (something to put on the grill) and refreshment. The Club has a full kitchen, T.V., pool table, men's and women's rest rooms, and comfortable lounging areas. If you would like to spend the night, we have matresses and will designate an area for sleeping. We collected $5/ person at registration (which covers cost of ice, paper goods, etc.) and the charge for targets will be $5/ round of 25 targets. You will need to furnish your own shells. Children under 15 will shoot for 1/2 price and must be accompanied by his/her parent or sponsor during the round.

Let the planning begin!

You want the biggest one or smaller of the two. Either one will hold a whole hog.

You guys hit this one just right for me. I'll be at MSU two days the following week, so I can come to the get-together for the weekend and do my thing recruiting the next week. Made the Tunica trip last year, and it will be good to get back to my old stomping ground around State this year. Just too bad Lin-Lou's, the Crossroads, and the Triangle Club aren't still around so I could really re-live my storied youth! When does turkey season start there; it would be too good to get to hunt while I was there, too! Guess I'll just have to be content fishing in my B-in-laws ponds, maybe. Count me in...I'll bring me some vienna's and crackers and a cold drank and have a big time! Looking forward to it already!

duckhuntalot,

The smaller one should be fine. The date and place is set. This will a saturday only event, like always. There were directions posted on the board when we had the last get-together and I'll go back, find them, and repost them on a new topic. Anat will be really busy in march, so I'm going to head up this thing, and I'm going to need some help getting everything ready and such. Any MSU members thinking about coming? I know it's a bad date because it's during spring break, but I'm coming back Friday to get everything ready.

I've got one of those giant 120 qt (I think this is the right size) pots that'll do a whole sack of crawfish, if y'all wanted to use it.

In case you all are reading both posts, Micah if I come, I have a turkey I could bring, been wanting to fry it. Also If I can make it, I can defintely bring a sack of crawfish and the supplies to cook it in, pot, burner etc... However if crawfish make it up I would like to see us split the cost of the fish, supplies stuff like that. I don't think that would be a problem. I think I can make it, just gotta see first.
