They have moved Corpus out of the Cone, but the cone is shifting back towards us..

At least once it hits they are saying Ike will get the move on and not drop flooding rains like Gustav and Fay.

As of this morning,Ike is going to come in a little south of Galveston,,towards Matagorda Co.(i'm on a lease down there) .I'm Northeast of Houston,looks like we get the "dirty side" of it.

It still moving WNW if it stays on that track it is going to be right in Matagorda Bay..
There are some great teal spots down that way.. I bet it is going to mess them up something bad..

Heard that some of the gas in Rankin Co is already above $5 / gallon.

went about noon to anchor a new blind at my lease here near the house in Liberty Co. Saw about 30 or so BWT, about 5 or 6 woodies,a few coots,and 1 lone Mex. Whistler. Anchored the blind ( pvc frame-it would have been half way to Okla.)and came back home. No rain yet here in Dayton, windy,but not bad yet.

looks like it finally made the turn to NW..
Man Hencutter.. We need to hook up for a hunt down there.. I miss my old stomping grounds..

Hope TX fairs well. we getting some TS winds right now and serious rain. Port of Iberia which is 10 miles from me is flooded with water from the high tide in Vermilion Bay.
