The 4 wheeler key is acceptable due to the practicality of the bottle opener... As long as the bottle opener is regularly used.

TOPWATER fishing lures and Topwater duckhunters.

A TOPWATER is very shallow running. Thus, a Topwater duck hunter is only capable of "shallow" thoughts.
A TOPWATER is only useful very early or very late. A topwater duck hunter usually shows up real early, but doesn't have the stick-to-it to hunt all day long.
A TOPWATER is only useful when the water is calm. A topwater duckhunter doesn't hunt when that North wind is ripping the skin off of your face.
A TOPWATER usually is some very loud unnatural color. A topwater duckhunter uses camo and decoys that are so new as to look unnatural.

We have ALL been Topwaters at some point in our lives, but the TRUE duck hunters have grown out of it with years of experience.

Ok, I think I've got one close to my office. He's got a brand new, bright red, Ford f-250, Crew Cab, with huge mudgrip tires (I know the Jackson city streets are bad, but geez). There is a DU sticker on every single window. There is a big black lab sticker on the back glass. And to top it all off, this thing is showroom clean. (I didn't even have to look at the front tag to know that this guy was an Ole Miss fan.) We'll see what this looks like after the season.

Can I get rid of my topwater status if i really don't give a rat's butt what anyone else thinks, and I just hunt and kill ducks?

you out grow the topwater phase when you do care about others peoples hunts, and when you gain that level of sportsmanship that when some dick comes in on you and trys to set up, invite him to hunt with you that way he might learn from someone that knows better.

my dad explained to me when i was young that it is the responsibility of those of us that know better to guide those that obviously don't, and that the advantage of being older and/or having more expirience means that not only are we smarter, but we are craftier, and a hellava lot sneakier in our vengence.

lesson 1 for the day for all topwaters whether you are stuck in the position permently, or just have a farting topwater moment(we are all guilty of this sometimes), remember the golden rule of duck hunting, don't do to someone else what you don't want done to you(blow through another mans spread, set up right on top of him) etc etc etc. the consiquences can really suck!!!!

lesson 2. be polite and curtious when your hunting, whether it be on private or public, we as hunters are now more than ever in the public eye, we represent our sport everytime we don waders and go to the water

It really ain't so bad. I get bored easy. If I ain't killed the limit by 7:30 or so I start thinking about deer hunting anyway.

Normally we occupy our time by making fun of others people camo. travis

1)Anyone who throws money at the sport instead of effort!

2)Anyone who thinks stickers speak louder than bagged bird

3)Anyone who actually starts jogging before duck season so they dont get winded while blowing their calls (I personally know someone who does this!!!)

4)Anyone who more equipment than their effort or skill level alots for!
