I swear there aren't any trees left standing. It just sucks so bad when u put so much time into a place and in less than an hour all of your hard work is destroyed. Oh well I guess ill just have to wait till im about 70 to start seeing the hardwoods again....
Where are you located, we have some land on 433 but i think it all got missed by the tornado.

I was out on HWY 433 between Bentonia and Satartia. Thanksfully there was no damage to be seen. I feel for everyone who was affected. :(

Zeiglerville got destroyed. I sat at the end of Davis Rd trying to keep out folks who didn't belong there on Sunday. Rode around for a while that afternoon up Davis Road and 433 and back to Pierce Crossroads and those woods are gone. It will be a decade or longer before you can walk through the woods again.

Just a bad Deal all Around. I know houses can be replaced but it's sure nice to have a Nail to hang your hat on...Thank God that the death toll is not higher than it was.

Heard on the news this morning that the Tornado was on the ground for 197 miles and was between 1 and 1.75 miles wide and that it was the widest and 4th longest on record..

from tallula, la to oktibbeha county (starkville). looked pretty menacing here (was on the road back from memphis...fun fun drive to and from - apparently we got out of memphis just before it hit, as we were hearing damage reports from areas we had left no more than 30 minutes before coming south down hwy78). when we got back, we came around the back way down artesia rd. b/c the tornado was down north of campus and out hwy 389 where some houses got blown off foundations. there were about 6 different storm chasers in the median along alt45 filming the storm.

Was out at Midway on Saturday, Enchanted Hills on Sunday and out off Ridge Rd yesterday. To me, it looks like Ridge Rd may have gotten the worst of it. There is also alot of trees still blocking roads out there. We have cut almost 3 days straight and there is still a ton left to do. It is some rough stuff.

I have a camp in Satartia that dodged the bullet. Was wondering if Panther Swamp was in the line of the storm?

As bad as it is it could have been worse, at least it did not go right in the middle of yazoo city. My cousin is insurance adjuster for several counties hit by it and said by yesterday afternoon he already had over 40 complete losses reported.
