No backpedaling, I was responding to Mark's Chinese fire drill comment. At no time was the trial a Chinese fire drill. Mark has attended our training days and we welcome him. I just disagree with his comment. Once again, we had openings for this past trial and we welcome those who have commented on the post to participate in the next one.
Last time I checked, Sonya and I were members. I was one the people who were asked originally to help start the chapter up. It is kind of funny how you said nothing about the "Chinese fire drill" when you responded to a post not directed at you, rather you responded to "steadiness" and that unsteady dogs "should not participate." I don't see any reference to "chinese fire drill" in there anywhere.

I can assure you, having actually run one, and attended more than one, and been asked to gun for several, my description of what happened at Kearney Park with 13 no bird (run off) ducks in a row just for MY dog, dogs breaking and handlers having to sit their dogs and run other handler's dogs down so the trial could continue, handlers having sit their dogs and walk out to show the guns how to shoot flyers in the third series, that was FOR SURE a chinese fire drill. Ask Tom Hamilton, he agrees with me, and he judged it.

Mark, I was under the impression you were describing our first trial a Chinese Fire drill when I quickly read your post. I responded to quickly without reading closely. So, my bad. That is my I corrected my post. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

There was a lot of preparation for our trial to insure there would be no such activity as the one you described at Kearney Park.

I have absolutely nothing to contribute to this thread, other than Allen and Rosie made the National blog. Looks like Allen brings a hound anywhere he goes!
