I was just askin opions folks, I never said I wasn't going hunting, just cause I don't enjoy huntin in the the rain don't mean I aint going! Yall folks tryin to bash me must be crazy as hell to think something's gonna stop my opening morning! hell if my boat were to die on me, you'd probably see me and my crew paddling up river on top of a decoy bag!

Long term forecast had said nice cold weather for opening Thurs-weekend but inching up warmer now.

Long term forecast for rain is pretty much worthless anyway. Only thing pretty positive is a shot of cold air around Thanksgiving.

My favorite part was when you got bashed for not reflecting on the service men and women because you asked about hunting in the rain.

Guess you learned your lesson.

If it helps your feelings, all my hunts in the rain were not any good at all. AND I have chosen not to go because of rain before... Not every time, but I have sat it out because of the rain at times. I do, however, honor our service men and women whether I hunt or not and often reflect on the sacrifice they make/made. Just don't won't to be called unpatriotic or anything.

Bottom line is I don't have to hunt in the rain to prove that I'm a man or a duck hunter for that matter. There are far more important things in life than being worried about proving myself as a "die hard/hardcore duck hunter".

With that said. See you on opening day rain or shine!

round here whether or not I choose to hunt in the rain, snow , ice ,hot temps. Windy days or sunny days has nothing to do with me an my support of our military . I have a lot of friends an family In the military . An I have very high respect for them .

But u caint sit behind a computer screen an tell someone you've never met that he don't support our troops , jus b/c he asked opinions on openings day weather forecast that he saw some where .
