Appreciate it...you know for being a hunter who has killed a bunch of deer and other animals without batting an eye, I really hate to see them struggling to find dry land like that. For lack of better words, it is "sad".levi127 wrote:amazing pictures man!
the news up here in memphis showed about 100 deer on high ground laying down and eating. Like they were waiting for this sh&^ to be over with
Whats funny is on the facebook page for news channel 5. When they aired it and posted it on facebook people went crazy! Talking about how sad that it is and so on. Well people started arguing over wanting to get them food. People were talking about sending them HAY and stuff from a plane or helicopter. It was funny to see them get into it. People telling them this is mother nature and so on, they didnt want to here it.chevy01234 wrote:Appreciate it...you know for being a hunter who has killed a bunch of deer and other animals without batting an eye, I really hate to see them struggling to find dry land like that. +1. Thats why i said shooting hogs in that situation was not my tea. When the chit hits the fan like this everything is fighting just to survive. I saw a rabbit the other day float by on an old tire/rim. They'll cling to whatever they can.chevy01234 wrote:Appreciate it...you know for being a hunter who has killed a bunch of deer and other animals without batting an eye, I really hate to see them struggling to find dry land like that. If you could see what they are doing to the levees, you might change your mind. The east levee at Panther went from just fine to rooted to heck in about 3 days. The way I see it, they are a serious problem. They destroy crops and natural vegetation. They'll eat anything they can get in their mouth. I would shoot them any other day of the year. High water concentrates them, exaggerates the problems they cause and catching them hemmed up during the high water is an opportunity to get rid of a bunch of them quickly. It's like catching all the wasps on the nest under your carport, versus chasing them down one by one in the yard.TODO wrote:+1. Thats why i said shooting hogs in that situation was not my tea.
