I think that your "source" is as full of shat, just like I think Forest Moore is a whiny little beach who wasn't ever worth a feck to begin with. Truth is somewhere in the middle, but what will matter is the attorneys and how they define the middle, not the actual middle. I don't think MSU will win 9 games this year either and I don't think Cohen is twice the coach Bianco is, I think Cohen could learn some things from Bianco that would compliment what he is good at and then he could be pretty formidable.chopper30 wrote: As far as the topic, I don't doubt if them boys practiced a little too much. Yeah, has some part of it. $#!+ situation, and I don't know how I feel, obviously. Someways I think it's $#!+ and he should be castrated...other ways I think it's shady but it's coaching and u gotta play for the man and swallow some of it or take your ball and go home.Greenhead22 wrote:This is all about daddy didn't get his way with either coaching staff while Forrest was there.
Either way I wouldn't send a kid to play for Cohen and if he weren't winning many of your opinions wouldn't be quite the same either.

Re: Forrest Moore / Cohen Suit
The first thing that caught my eye about this kid was the fact we went into BATON ROUGE and got him. That tells you either one or two things. Either LSU didn't want to deal with his parents or he wasn't good enough to play for them, or both. Just because Dana played football at State, it didn't mean he was a lock for State.
Before the first fall practice of his freshman season, Dana told Polk he thought Forrest should be the friday night guy on the mound, and when he wasn't pitching, he should be starting at 1B. Facts of the matter here. The kid was advised to spend all of his practice time on one or the other, but he chose to do his own thing, so he never progressed at either.
Dana and Cohen clashed right off the bat. He tried to pull the same with Cohen, but Cohen is way different from Polk. Polk did try to help Dana somewhat, but the kid just couldn't handle it. Dana wanted him to be like Mitch Moreland and well ............ he wasn't a Moreland type player.

LSU wanted him, he wanted to go to State...situation sucks. You can't push a coach, especially at that level and you shouldn't play for him if you don't wanna live by his decisions...but on the same hand, if a coach doesn't wanna deal with you (or your parents) he should just cut you loose and let you make your own way. Neither principle was followed and one pushed too hard for spight and one is pushing back...situation is pretty dang simple. There is blame to be spread all around, I don't think that is too hard to figure it all out in this case.Greenhead22 wrote:The first thing that caught my eye about this kid was the fact we went into BATON ROUGE and got him. Yes, Camlock, the situation is "pretty simple"...believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.
But you can take this to the bank, Forest is a pu$$y and so is Goforth...

Add Ryan Powers to that list too, RiverDuck. He joined in with Moore and Goforth.

Learn from Bianco? How many of his former players have you talked to? Very few respect the man. As I said in the past, Dan McDonnell was the reason for the success at Ole Miss. Now that he has been gone for a few years you are starting to see the effects
Re: Forrest Moore / Cohen Suit
You are also assuming I meant something that I didn't necessarily mean...by the way. I've talked to and know plenty of his former players and their parents, as well as most college programs in our MS and LA, I have my own opinions based on what I know and have been around. For every single happy you can find a disgruntled, it's every program you look in to. I don't disagree about McDonnell.stitch wrote: Learn from Bianco? You are really reaching...matter of fact that's pretty ridiculous statementstitch wrote: Very few respect the man.
